🍁 October Update

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year — cooler mornings, sale season in full swing, and plenty of time spent talking with producers and horse owners about protecting what matters most.

Cattle producers are also taking advantage of pasture and embryo/semen coverage .

This month has been packed with new cattle and equine mortality quotes — from show heifers gearing up for the fall majors to performance horses hitting the jackpot and rodeo trail. I’ve been busy helping folks review coverage options, update their herd lists, and make sure every animal is properly protected before the end of the year.

Cattle producers are also taking advantage of pasture and embryo/semen coverage to safeguard their genetics and operations heading into winter. Whether it’s donor cows, frozen embryos, or a favorite show prospect, mortality insurance helps take the “what ifs” off your mind so you can focus on your program.

If you’ve recently purchased new livestock, added a horse to your barn, or are hauling to shows this fall — now’s the perfect time to review your coverage. A quick policy check can ensure you’re not missing protection for high-value animals, embryos in storage, or livestock in transit.

🍂 Fall Tip: As the weather cools down, be sure to confirm your barns and storage areas are ready for the season. Power interruptions and temperature changes can cause unexpected losses — and many policies offer options to help protect against those risks.

If you’d like to go over your current coverage or explore mortality options for your cattle or horses, feel free to reach out anytime — I’m happy to help you find the right fit for your operation.
